Dainik Bhaskar: AI that times traffic signals to the traffic
City Bhaskar featured our early work on signals that change with the traffic, not the clock.

In November 2022, City Bhaskar ran a page on young Bhopal founders solving everyday city problems. Our story was one of them: traffic signals that still run on fixed timers, holding vehicles at red even when the crossing road is empty.
Co-founder Abhay Athya explained the idea behind what became our Adaptive Traffic Control System. Cameras at the junction read the traffic on every approach, and AI updates the green time to match it. A companion mobile app was built for surveillance and e-challans, so officers get live information and updates from the field.
The paper reported that we had received permission to trial the system at a Bhopal junction, with a citywide rollout to follow if it worked.
